CUE Student, Adeeba Murad, a Keynote Speaker at the “Yazidi Genocide Commemoration”

On August 2nd, 2023, CUE student, Ms. Adeeba Murad, participated in the Ninth Commemorative event for the Yazidi Genocide” as a keynote speaker, organized by Yazda in Erbil. 

Adeeba is a Yazidi survivor who was held captive for 5 years; she is now a speaker for Yazidis rights and member of Yazda’s Yazidi Survivors Network (YSN). 

The event was held under the patronage and presence of H. E. Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region. 

At CUE, we support Adeeba and all Yazidi survivors and we seek to offer them educational opportunities to resume their academic studies, becoming leaders and builders of their societies and communities.
