Seminar: “Fire Fighting: Basic Fire Safety”

Under the Strengthening Institutional Capacity Project, funded by U.S. Department of State’s Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA/AC), on July 31, 2023, Mrs. Parez Najat Agha delivered a seminar titled “Fire Fighting: Basic Fire Safety” for CUE’s admin staff. Throughout the seminar, Mrs. Parez explained the meaning of a fire, types of fire, and its major causes, such as “carelessness with smoking and matches, misuse of electricity, improper storage of flammables…etc”. in case of a fire, individuals are required to “leave that place fast, get down, stay away from using elevators, shut the door of the fire room…etc” in order to prevent injuries and use safety measures.  Moreover, Mrs. Parez also elaborated on the types of fire extinguishers and the proper ways of using them depending on the fire types. Furthermore, the presenter also talked about the fire signs that are usually used in public and private places, to help the attendants better understand the meaning behind those signs.
