The CUE signs MoU with The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK)
On February 12th , 2022, a delegation from the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) visited The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.
The delegation was led by H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda the Chancellor and Head of Board of Trustees of CUE, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Dankha Joola, the Executive Vice-Chancellor for Administration; Members of BoT Prof. Nazar Shabella, Dr. Merwan Khorani, Dr. Sherzad Hkim, Rawand Shamown.
CUE delegation was welcomed by Rev. Fr. Talal Hachem, President of USEK, with its respectable Deans and faculty staff.
The delegation introduced the newly opened faculties at the university along with the CUE’s plan for opening more faculties in the near future. Further, the delegation has expressed its appreciation for USEK for sharing their experience in the educational sector.
The purpose of signing the MoU is to activate an Exchange Program for the students and staff of both universities and initiate joint research and scientific activities.
At the end of the meeting, H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda, extended special thanks to Rev. Fr. Talal Hachem for the interest in signing this MoU, which reflects a genuine desire for advancing higher education in general. From his side, Rev. Fr. Talal Hachem expressed his gratitude for having this association, which he assured will bring constructive outcomes for both universities.
