CUE President’s Message Welcoming Students to the New Academic Year

Dear students

Welcome back to the Catholic University in Erbil!

On behalf of the entire CUE family and management, I am very pleased to welcome you back to campus as we begin a new academic year.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday, had time to rest and relax, and enjoyed meaningful moments with your families and loved ones. I also hope that you have returned refreshed, enthusiastic, and ready to begin another successful academic journey with us.

Congratulations on the beginning of the new academic year! We look forward to a successful, productive, and fruitful year together.

Over the past few months, my colleagues and the CUE team have been working hard to prepare for the new academic year. We have worked to ensure that everything is in place to provide you with the best possible learning environment and a smooth start to your classes.

We have also made significant progress in our national and international accreditation processes and in strengthening the quality of our university. These achievements are important milestones for CUE, but they also bring greater responsibility. Maintaining and further improving our quality requires the commitment, dedication, and hard work of everyone in our university community—including our students.

Therefore, we expect you to study hard, be committed and dedicated to your education, attend your classes regularly, and actively participate and engage in your learning. Your involvement in academic, extracurricular, and university activities is an important part of your overall university experience.

At CUE, we are committed to student-centered learning. This means that you have an active and important role in your own education. You are expected to take responsibility for your learning, while our faculty and staff are here to guide, support, and help you achieve your goals.

You will hear more about the academic year, student services, activities, and other important matters from my colleagues during this orientation.

I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the Student Affairs team for organizing this orientation and for their continued work in supporting our students.

Finally, I wish each and every one of you a successful, productive, and rewarding academic year. We are here to support you, guide you, and help you succeed.
