A delegation from CUE visits Ankawa District

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, a delegation from the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) went on a reciprocal visit to the Ankawa District and was warmly welcomed by the Director of the District, Mr. Ramy Syawish.

The CUE delegation was represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Riadh Francis, the President and Vice-Chancellor of CUE, and Ms. Vida Hanna, the Director of Public and International Relations of the university. 

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relations between the CUE and the Ankawa District. During the meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr. Riadh stressed the importance of the association between the two sides stating that “our common interest is to benefit the people of Ankawa and Erbil, no matter through what means.” He also discussed certain aspects of future scientific research by CUE to deal with problems of public interest, enhancing thereby the role of CUE in supporting local communities and strengthening the links between CUE and society. 

Moreover, the CUE president praised the active role of Mr. Syawish in serving the Ankawa District and wished him every success.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Rami Syawish expressed his gratitude for the reciprocal visit, which will indeed strengthen the cooperation between the two sides and bring about constructive outcomes.
