A Delegation from the Catholic University in Milan Visit CUE, and Conduct “Forward Thinking for Future Thoughts” Workshop

On April 18th, a delegation from The Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan, headed by Prof. Marco Lombardi, Director of Journalism School, and the Director of the Italian Team for Security, Terroristic Issues & Managing Emergencies, visited the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE). 

The delegation was welcomed by His Grace Archbishop Bashar Warda, CUE Chancellor and Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Nazar Shabila, CUE President and Vice-Chancellor, and CUE staff. Throughout the meeting, both institutions discussed possible future collaborations and highlighted CUE’s culturally diverse and cohesive community.

After the meeting, Prof. Marco Lombardi delivered a “Forward Thinking for Future Thoughts” workshop for CUE staff and students. During this lecture, Prof. Lombardi spoke about Hybrid War and Cognitive Warfare, Networking Society, Digital Communicative Ecosystem, A Changing World, Globalization, and more. At the end of the lecture, the attendants could ask questions regarding the topic. The CUE delivered an award of appreciation to Prof. Lombardi for his efforts.
