Aid to the Church in Need Delegation Visits CUE, Celebrating a Milestone for Student Success
A delegation from Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), one of the Catholic University in Erbil’s (CUE) closest and most committed donors, visited the university on October 28, marking an important moment in a long-standing partnership dedicated to expanding access to higher education.

During the visit, the ACN delegation met with CUE senior management, faculty, staff, and scholarship beneficiaries to learn more about the university’s progress and the impact of ACN’s continued support. Their visit coincided with a major milestone for CUE: this year, 87 students celebrated their graduation as beneficiaries of ACN scholarships — a testament to ACN’s ongoing investment in young people and their future.

The delegation also joined CUE’s graduation ceremony, where they heard powerful testimonies from students who successfully completed their academic journey thanks to ACN’s support. Many graduates shared how the scholarship transformed not only their education, but also their families’ hopes and opportunities.

The visit underscored the vital role that donors like ACN play in helping students pursue quality higher education and contribute meaningfully to their communities. As CUE continues to grow, partnerships such as this remain essential to empowering the next generation of leaders across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
