On April 13, 2021, a seminar entitled “Antoni Gaudi’s Un-Finished Work (La Sagrada Familia)” was held in the CUE presented by Asst. Lect. Alhan Faris Ibrahim, lecturer in the Architecture department.

The seminar covered the construction levels of the church and the magnificent details of the sculptures, as well as its interior design.
Moreover, the seminar focused on the famous Spanish Architect (Antoni Gaudi) who was the greatest exponent of Catalan Modernism in architecture. Gaudi’s works have a highly individualized, one-of-a-kind style, located in Barcelona, including his main work masterpiece, the church of (La Sagrada Familia) or (The Sacred Family), a fantastic monument that is still under construction, as a symbol of the heritage that Gaudi left to the town of Barcelona, as well as a monument to the revolution in Architecture that Gaudi left to mankind.
The session ended with a few questions and discussions among the attended academics. Also, the seminar was preceded with a special thanks and appreciation of the president of CUE for Ms. Alhan for presenting a seminar as an external lecturer and hoped that all respectable external lecturers will follow suit.
