International Women’s Day at CUE

Under the Investing in Women’s Leadership and English Language Excellence project, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA/AC), CUE held a special event to Women’s International Day on March 9th, 2024 with a main focus on Inclusion as the theme for Women’s International Day for 2024. This was organized by the Diversity and Inclusion Office, and conducted and by Ms. Sheelan Bahjat. 

The event began with a brief introduction on Women Empowerment, and Inclusion and women’s contribution to societies and was followed by a panel discussion, where women rights, challenges, women in the workforce were discussed. 

After the panel discussion, CUE’s Media volunteer held their first photography exhibition, where attendants were able to see their artworks.
