Capital markets – Contribution to economy Seminar

On 1st March 2021, a seminar on capital markets was held in the CUE presented by Mr. Avinash Bondu, lecturer in the Accounting department.

Economic development is the most concerned aspect of the nations in today’s world. This seminar highlighted one of the main important factors which contribute to the economy named “Capital markets”. The presentation carried on defining the capital markets and its fine structure and stressing the role of capital markets in contributing to the economic development of a country by pooling investments, risk management, and liquidity provision.

The performance of capital markets in different countries were discussed with updated figures of indices of stock exchanges, market capitalization, and size of the capital market by region. The session ended with a few questions and discussions among the attended academics, students.
