AMIDEAST Iraq implemented the Teaching in English to Non-Native Speakers (TENNS) Program with the collaboration of CUE, funded by the U.S. Department of State, NEA/AC. This program aims to strengthen the quality of English-medium instruction across the university.

The 48-hour program provides CUE faculty members with practical training on effective classroom communication, English-medium teaching strategies, and student-centered instructional methods. Through workshops and peer observations, instructors gain valuable skills that help them deliver clearer, more engaging, and more accessible lectures for students with varying levels of English proficiency.

The TENNS Program plays a key role in enhancing academic quality, improving student learning outcomes, and supporting CUE’s efforts to maintain high international standards. By investing in faculty development, CUE reaffirms its commitment to teaching excellence and a strong, student-focused learning environment.

CUE believes that the performance of students and becoming great future leaders comes from strong teaching skills and faculty members. Therefore, it plays a crucial role in providing high-quality teaching every year.
