CUE Awards Certificates to Graduates of Fourth Italian Language Course

The Catholic University in Erbil has celebrated the successful completion of its fourth Italian language course, delivered in partnership with Società Dante Alighieri and supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Erbil on June 9, 2026.

Participants, including CUE students and members of the public, completed the program and received their certificates during a ceremony held at the university. The ceremony took place under the patronage of his excellency the Consul General of Italy in Erbil, Mr. Tommaso Sansone, and the President of the CUE, Professor Nazar Shabila.

This course is part of the ongoing collaboration of CUE with Societa Dante Alighieri and the Italian Consulate General in Erbil in the promotion of the Italian language and culture in the Kurdistan Region. Each cohort flourishes on the successes of the preceding ones, with a steady and increasing interest in Italian language learning in the community. For participants, the course offered more than language instruction; it was an experience that linked them to Italian instructors and provided them an opportunity to get to know the Italian culture first-hand. This is a good opportunity for whoever has intentions to work or study in Italy.
