CUE hosts IOM’s Youth Culture Exchange Event

On November 15 and 16, the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) hosted a Youth Cultural Exchange organized by IOM (Iraq). The two-day event was intended for youth from all over Iraq. This event created an opportunity for young people to learn about new cultures, faiths, backgrounds, and heritage. Furthermore, activities such as art exhibitions, games, panel discussions, and theatre. The Youth Cultural Exchange, by joining youth from all parts of Iraq, aims to promote cohesion, and peace and emphasize the diversity of Iraqi culture.

Moreover, during panel discussions, there was a special focus on sustaining local heritage, which is a treasure from the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia. 

This event presented an opportunity for all participants, visitors, and CUE students to learn about the diversity of Iraq’s population and to express their thoughts and experiences, by having open dialogues and discussions that encourage a peaceful and cohesive community.
