CUE signs MOU with Walsh University

On November 14, 2022, under the grant entitled “Support to American-Style Higher Education in Iraq” awarded by the U.S. Department of State, a delegation from the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) visited Walsh University in Ohio to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.

The CUE delegation was led by His Grace, Archbishop Bashar Warda, the CUE’s Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Vida Hanna, the Director of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Tim Collins, the President of Walsh University, Dr. Rachel Hosler, the Chief of Staff, and the esteemed Vice-Presidents of the university.

The purpose of the MoU is to establish a collaborative relationship between CUE and Walsh University and partner on topics concerning the exchange of staff, faculty, and students. In addition to organizing joint conferences, seminars, and workshops. His Grace, Archbishop Warda, extended CUE’s thanks and appreciation to Walsh University for their warm welcome and hospitality. He asserted the importance of this MOU, a sign of a genuine desire to advance higher education studies in both institutions.

From his side, Dr. Collins assured Walsh University’s commitment to this partnership and the values it will bring to the two universities.
