CUE’s Dr. Khalid Ibrahim Shares Expertise at AUK Teaching and Learning Conference
Dr. Khalid Ibrahim, Chief of Academic Affairs at the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE), represented the university by leading a specialized workshop at the Advancing Teaching and Learning Conference hosted by the American University of Kurdistan (AUK) on October 25, 2025.

Dr. Ibrahim was joined by CUE faculty members Dr. Rukhsar Nadhm Kareem and Ms. Dlpak Mustafa Azeez from the English Language Department, reflecting CUE’s collaborative academic engagement and commitment to professional exchange.

The workshop, titled “Research-Based Instructional Strategies,” was designed for K–12 educators and focused on bridging educational theory with classroom practice. Dr. Ibrahim introduced participants to evidence-based teaching approaches and demonstrated how research-informed strategies can enhance learning outcomes across diverse educational settings.

Through live demonstrations and interactive tasks, participants actively explored high-impact techniques, including summarizing and note-taking, non-linguistic representation, and the effective use of advanced organizers. The hands-on format allowed educators to experience these strategies firsthand and consider their practical application in their own classrooms.
CUE’s participation in the conference reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to advancing research-driven teaching practices and contributing academic expertise to the broader education community in the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
