Difficulties in Collecting Tax in Kurdistan

On February 14th, 2022, the Quality Assurance, at the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE), organized a seminar titled “Difficulties in Collecting Tax in Kurdistan.”, which was presented by Mr. Farhad Al-Kake.

Throughout the seminar, Mr. Al-Kake presented a detailed explanation of the Iraqi tax system that suffers from its shortcomings in achieving the financing of public expenditures. Additionally, he explained the mechanisms to improve the tax system in Iraq to reduce tax evasion and increase public revenues.

At the end of the seminar, Mr. Al-Kake answered all the raised questions by the attendees. Finally, the department Quality Assurance (QA), awarded Farhad Al-Kake a certificate of appreciation for his diligent work and the valuable information provided to the CUE faculty.
