E-Learning System at CUE due to COVID-19
On April 14, 2020, the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) launched an online teaching program for all the students following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown restrictions imposed by the local authority in Kurdistan Region
The step was taken by the presidency of the university following approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research ensure the delivery of classes during the lockdown.
“The CUE is innovative, creative and challenging in finding alternative teaching methods for its students”, said His Grace Bishop Bashar Warda, Chairman of the Catholic University in Erbil on twitter.
He added that while meeting the standard health and hygienic measures that were in line with the instructions of the WHO, the CUE was ready to well-prepared to ensure continuous online -time education for its students using up-to-date online teaching programs such as Moodle platform.
“Stay at home/ wash your hands as often as possible and study well” was the message His Grace gave to the students.
The Online Classes through Moodle have been going on efficiently and successfully for the sixth week running at the Catholic University in Erbil-CUE.
His grace expressed his thanks and appreciation for the faculty, students and admins staff for their cooperation in preparing, running and using the program.
