Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children Symposium

Under the Investing in Women’s Leadership and English Language Excellence project, funded by the U.S Department of States’ Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA/AC) and as part of the Women Empowerment Leadership Series (WELS) and the Women Empowerment Corner (WEC), CUE held a symposium and a panel discussion on November 30, 2024 titled “Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children”. The event was organized in collaboration with from EMMA organization and the Directorate of Combating Violence Against Women in Kurdistan (DCVAW), and it hosted guest speakers: Dr. Bayan Galaly, Psychiatrist from EMMA organization; Ms. Bahar Ali, the Director of EMMA organization; and Lieutenant Colonel, Ms. Lana Luqman, from DCVAW.
