EWTN/CUE Internship Info Session

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, The Catholic University in Erbil (CUE), in partnership with Eternal World Television Network (EWTN), conducted an info session about the EWTN/CUE internship program, which was attended by CUE students, faculty, and admin staff.

The info session was presented by Mr. Rody Sher ACI MENA Editor-in-Chief, who announced the collaboration between the two entities and the internship available for all CUE students. 

During the session, a brief about the internship was given to the attendees in both English and Arabic. Further information was shared about this opportunity which will help them and boost their working and soft skills.

CNA and its sister agency ACI MENA with CUE will collaborate with CEMP to create and fund a “Citizen Journalism Project”. This Iraqi initiative, housed at and strategically guided by the Catholic University in Erbil, will provide internally displaced persons and religious minorities with training and resources for careers in journalism. The six-week program aims to improve the quality of reporting on issues important to minorities and internally displaced persons, increase the quantity of media coverage through partnerships with affiliated media outlets such as CNA, and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for minority journalists in the region.

EWTN and its sister agency ACI MEAN are partnering with the Catholic University in Erbil to create and support the “Citizen Journalism Project” Moreover, this internship will provide internally displaced persons and religious minorities with training and resources for careers in journalism for the duration of six months, 20 hours per week.

The info session ended with answering all the questions that the interested students asked and full information and details were shared with them to apply for this internship.
