Medya Diagnostic Center
On November 9,2022, CUE’s the Medical Laboratory Science Department- Second stage, visited Medya Diagnostic Center (MDC). MDC is the premier medical diagnostic center of the Kurdistan Region and the first in Iraq to be accredited by the college of American pathologists.
The CUE MLS students and staff headed by Mrs. Lana Basil, Head of MLS Department, were warmly welcomed by Operation Manager Mr. Farman Nanakali. During the visit, a seminar presented by MDC provided a full spectrum of diagnostic services and demonstrated the most advanced laboratory equipment’s related to each medical field diagnosis like: Hematology, Biochemistry, Oncology, Bacteriology, Endocrinology, Virology, Mycology and Parasitology.
The possibility of MLS students joining MDC for summer internships to fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Science degree, was also discussed during this visit.
