Eligibility & Criteria

Here is who qualifies, what we look for, and how selection decisions are made.

What to check first

Before you apply, confirm these three points:

  1. Academic eligibility: required education level; ability to study in English and commit to a full schedule.
  2. Programme eligibility: your major is included; you can attend on campus and follow university regulations.
  3. Basic readiness: prepared for responsible study; you understand a scholarship is a commitment—not only financial support.

Documents you will normally need

Prepare these early to avoid last-minute issues:

  • Academic record (transcript/grades)
  • Reference letter (school or community reference)
  • Personal statement in English (your story, motivation, and plan)
  • ID documents (as requested by CUE)

What we look for

A strong applicant usually shows:
  • Consistent effort and academic seriousness.
  • A clear reason for their major and a realistic plan after graduation.
  • Respectful behaviour and willingness to cooperate with university requirements.
  • Genuine financial need (when the scholarship is need-based).

Important note: scholarship obligations
A scholarship is a partnership. Students are expected to: attend and participate, maintain academic performance and sit required exams, respond promptly to Scholarship Office requests, and join required activities when asked.
Failure to comply may lead to warnings, corrective steps, or termination—based on scholarship rules.
