Seminar: “Accreditation”
Under the Strengthening Institutional Capacity Project, funded by U.S. Department of State’s Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA/AC), a seminar on “Accreditation” was delivered by Dr. Manhal Boya and Mr. Fanar Rofoo on April 26th, 2023. Throughout the seminar, Mr. Fanar presented an introduction, highlighting the meaning of accreditation, which is a “recognition granted by an authority or an agency to a program or an educational institution, verifying the institution’s ability to meet the quality standards and specifications of the accreditation authority.” Moreover, Mr. Fanar also highlighted the accreditation types such as, Institutional Accreditation, Programmatic Accreditation, Vocational Accreditation. Additionally, Dr. Manhal emphasized topics such as, International Accreditation Network and Agency, self-study report, the requirements, and standards for accreditation. At the end of the seminar, attendants were able to raise their questions.
