Signing the affiliate agreement with the DAAD institution.
On May 14th, 2022, a delegation from the DAAD institution visited the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) to sign the affiliate agreement between the CUE and DAAD.
The delegation included Mr. Muhammad Khaskeia, the Head of Section, Ms. Anke Maria, Senior Desk Officer, and Mr. Louay Haji, Programme officer.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Rev. Fr. Dankha Joola, the Executive Vice-Chancellor for Administration; Mr. Namir Jibrail, MEAL Coordinator; Mr. Reben Fadhel, Executive assistant and Assist. Prof. Dr. Manhal Boya.
During the visit, CUE staff and the DAAD delegation discussed the main feedback and lesson learned from the In-country Scholarship Programe “Prospects for Peace through Education in Iraq” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) via the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and implemented in a joint collaboration between DAAD and the CUE.
Furthermore, the affiliate agreement has been signed by both parties, and CUE staff made a tour around the campus for the delegation to share information about the university departments, programs, and explore the environment, and culture.
By the end of the visit, Rev. Fr. Dankha Joola, extended his sincere appreciation for the tremendous support provided by the DAAD to the students from the minority group, and to the Catholic University in Erbil.
