Solutions to challenges facing Iraqi applicants to the IELTS Listening test

On November 19, 2022, Mr Rawsan Jalal presented a seminar entitled “Solutions to challenges facing Iraqi applicants to the IELTS Listening test”. The seminar illustrated challenges the candidates may encounter during the IELTS Listening Test. It also focused on some solutions may the candidates use to overcome the challenges and get high scores on the test. Moreover, a variety of strategies and tips were shown each to be suited to the four sections of the test such as general strategies and specific strategies. In the end, examples from the conducted IELTS Listening Test were presented just to increase the awareness of the applicants towards the test. The seminar was organized by the Department of English Language.
