The CUE signs MoU with the Notre Dame University-Louaize

On February 15th, 2022, a delegation from the Catholic University in Erbil (CUE) visited the Notre Dame University-Louaize NDU to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.

The CUE delegation was led by H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda the Chancellor and Head of Board of Trustees of CUE, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Dankha Joola, the Executive Vice-Chancellor for Administration; Members of BoT Prof. Nazar Shabella, Dr. Merwan Khorani, Dr. Sherzad Hkim, Rawand Shamown.

CUE delegation was welcomed by Rev. Fr. Bechara Khoury, President of NDU, with its respectable Deans and faculty staff.

The purpose of the MoU is to establish a collaborative relationship between NDU and CUE, hence the NDU will partner with CUE for the purposes of opening new departments or faculties, monitoring curriculum, etc., In addition, both universities will develop exchange programs with professors and students.

At the end of the meeting, H.G. Archbishop Bashar Warda, extended special thanks to Rev. Fr. Bechara Khoury for the importance of signing this MoU, which reveals a genuine desire for advancing higher education in general. From his side, Rev. Fr. Bechara Khoury conveyed his appreciation for having this association, which he assured will bring productive outcomes for both universities.
