The Model Making Workshop
On Wednesday, May, 11th, 2022, the Architectural Engineering Department at the Catholic University in Erbil organized a finalization day of the “Model Making Workshop” which has been lasted for 4 weeks for the first-year student. The workshop was held by Asst. Lect. Alhan Faris Ibrahim and Dr. Siba Taha Ibrahim, and were attended by the President of CUE – Assist. Prof. Dr. Riadh Francis, the Vice-President of Academic Affairs – Asst. Prof. Dr. Iqbal Gorgis and CUE’s academic staff, and students.
The workshop includes a seminar by Mrs. Alhan for defining the term of model making, materials and tools used in modeling craft, and skills, methods, and steps of architectural modeling, in addition to explaining the workshop project requirements. The students submitted their final products on the final day of the workshop which included drawing sheets of the staircase (plan and two sections) with models.
Dr. siba and Mrs. Alhan received an appreciation certificate from Quality Assurance for their diligent work and outstanding information provided to the faculty at CUE.
