Understanding Breast Cancer Symposium

Under the Investing in Women’s Leadership and English Language Excellence project, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Near Eastern Affairs Bureau (NEA/AC), and as part of the Women Leadership Series and the events held by the Women Empowerment Corner, CUE organized a symposium titled “Understanding Breast Cancer” as part of the international health efforts for Breast Cancer awareness month. The symposium hosted two guest speakers; Dr. Chinar Sinjawi, General Surgeon Specialist and Head of Cancer Control Department in the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq; and Ms. Ahang Kawany, founder and CEO of Mountain Nest, advocate and survivor of Breast Cancer.
